Upload PDF or ePub files with the extension

The SwiftRead extension can open a PDF from your current browser tab or import a PDF or ePub from your computer. Files can be up to 25 MB.

If the PDF is open in your browser

  1. Open the PDF in a browser tab.
  2. Click the SwiftRead extension icon.
  3. Follow the prompts. SwiftRead will open the document when it's ready.

Upload a PDF or ePub file

  1. Click the SwiftRead extension icon.
  2. Choose PDF or ePub.
  3. Select the file from your computer.
  4. Wait for the import to finish. SwiftRead will open the document automatically.

If the file doesn't open

  • Scanned PDFs can take longer because SwiftRead needs to recognize the text on each page. You can check their progress under Open > Import History.
  • Other extension uploads are handled in your browser and don't appear in Import History. If one stops before the reader opens, use the retry option on the upload page.
