Change reading speed and focus span

Reading speed controls your pace, while Focus span controls how many words are highlighted at once in Focus mode.

Update reading speed

1. Open a document in the reader.
2. Tap the speed control (gauge icon) in the reader controls.
3. Choose your target words per minute.

Update focus span

1. Open reader settings (gear icon).
2. Select Speed Reading.
3. Adjust Focus span to change how wide the highlight area is.

Tips

• Increase speed in small steps so comprehension keeps up.
• Use a smaller focus span for dense text and a wider span for lighter reading.
