How to report issues/bugs, and common workarounds to try

Include the following helpful details

If you come across unexpected behavior or some other issue while using SwiftRead, please include the following information when you reach out for help:

1. Details about what the issue is, and what steps you took before encountering the issue. Screenshots or even a video recording can help a lot!
2. The webpage URL and/or document file (e.g. PDF, ePub, etc.) that you tried to use SwiftRead on, which resulted in the issue.
3. Include whether you were using SwiftRead to read visually, or whether you had enabled SwiftRead text-to-speech to also listen to the text.
4. Your browser (e.g. Chrome or Edge)
5. Your operating system (e.g. Mac, Windows, Chrome OS, etc.)

Report the issue, but try these common workarounds too

After you report the issue, try these common workarounds, and let me know if any of them help:

• Try SwiftRead on another browser. For example, if you're you encounter the issue while using SwiftRead on Chrome, try using SwiftRead on Edge.
• Try using SwiftRead on a different webpage and/or document. Does the issue occur for you on all webpages and/or documents that you try, or just a particular one?
• Re-install SwiftRead. Follow these instructions to do so.
• Try disabling all other extensions except for SwiftRead. Does SwiftRead work now when it is the only extension installed?
• Try turning off your browser and/or computer's "power efficiency" settings and running SwiftRead again.
• Update your browser to the latest version.
• Restart your computer and try using SwiftRead again.
