Reinstall the SwiftRead browser extension

If the SwiftRead extension is enabled but still won't open or import content, reinstalling it may help. SwiftRead supports the Chrome and Edge desktop browsers.

Reinstall in Chrome

1. Open SwiftRead in the Chrome Web Store.
2. Select Remove from Chrome and confirm Remove.
3. Select Add to Chrome and confirm Add extension.

Reinstall in Edge

1. Open SwiftRead in Microsoft Edge Add-ons.
2. Select Remove and confirm the removal.
3. Select Get and confirm Add extension.

After reinstalling, open your browser's Extensions menu and look for the SwiftRead icon. You can pin it to keep it visible in the toolbar. If you use a SwiftRead account, sign in again, then retry the page or file that wasn't working.

If reinstalling doesn't help

• Confirm the extension is enabled in your browser's extension settings.
• Restart the browser after reinstalling.
• Reach out via the chat button in the bottom-right corner. Include what page or type of file you're trying to open and what happens after you select SwiftRead.
