Change the SwiftRead extension keyboard shortcut

You can choose your own keyboard shortcut for opening the current page in SwiftRead. This works with the Chrome and Edge desktop extensions.

Change the shortcut

  1. Open your browser's extension shortcuts page:
    • Chrome: enter chrome://extensions/shortcuts in the address bar.
    • Edge: enter edge://extensions/shortcuts in the address bar.
  2. Find SwiftRead.
  3. Select the pencil button next to Open SwiftRead, auto extract content.
  4. Press the key combination you want to use.

Your new shortcut will now open SwiftRead for the page you're viewing.

If the shortcut doesn't work

  • Choose a shortcut that is not already assigned to another browser action.
  • Confirm that the SwiftRead extension is enabled, then return to the shortcuts page and try again.
